Informações básicas
The Distillerie Bonollo S.p.A. are one of the most important realities of distillation in Europe. Founded in 1908 in Veneto by Giuseppe Bonollo, founder of the Bonollo family, in 1918 the business moved to Formigine (Modena) where Luigi Bonollo, son of the founder, began to dedicate himself to the distillation of Lambrusco grapes. His six children Giuseppe, Melchiorre, Alberto, Luigi, Vittorio and Abramo subsequently take over the company.Taking advantage by the wine movement of central-southern Italy, Giuseppe Bonollo in 1958 decided to open a new factory also in Anagni, in the province of Frosinone. In 1976 the Distillerie Bonollo S.p.A purchased and restructured another distillery in the province of Siena and in 1980 starts the construction of a second plant in Anagni - in the locality of Paduni: this production plant will be the largest in Europe. In 2007, the Bonollo family developed a new sector: the green economy, with Bonollo Energia Spa, a plant with a production capacity of 12 MWe for the production of energy from biomass: about 60% of this. and the rest by the exhausted grapes supplied by the distilleries themselves. The activity of the Distillerie Bonollo S.p.A. is a perfect example of a circular economy that is focuses on four types of products: spirits, tartaric acid, fertilizers and green energy. It is now the turn of the fourth generation of the Bonollo family to carry on this tradition with a century-old history in Italian distillation sector.
